SIMON WRIGHT

In 1983, Simon Wright was the luckiest man on earth. He auditioned for a small "drummer wanted for rock band" ad in the English SOUNDS magazine, the band turning out to be AC/DC, and getting the job at the audition! Simon replaced PHIL RUDD for the Flick of the Switch TOUR in 1983, and remained in AC/DC until he voluntarily left the band to join DIO in 1989. Simon was replaced By Chris Slade. DIO disbanded soon after, leaving Simon without a band. He then ended up in RHINO BUCKET, on their excellent album "Pain". After Rhino Bucket, Simon was involved in various projects through the mid and later 1990's including John Norum, UFO, and Mogg/Way. In 1999, Simon Rejoined the band DIO, which was now back in action and released their album 'Magica'. Simon is still with DIO, and also tours with RHINO BUCKET when he is not working with DIO. Simon offers a video, as well as other cool items(sticks, autographed items, etc.) through his own personal website: Landshark productions
